The Infineon Technologies USB-C EZ-PD PMG1 chips feature an Arm® Cortex®-M0/M0+ CPU, USB Type-C PD controller, and analog and digital peripherals. The devices are designed for embedded systems that transfer power through high-voltage USB Type-C PD ports, enhancing control capabilities.

USB Type-C™ EZ-PD™ PMG1-S3

Infineon Technologies USB Type-C™ EZ-PD PMG1-S3 are high-voltage microcontrollers that support USB-PD 3.1 Extended Power Range (EPR). The Infineon Technologies PMG1-S3 features up to 28V at 5A (140W). This advancement enhances the PMG1 family with 256KB flash, 32KB SRAM, 50 GPIOs, USB device control, a Crypto engine for authentication, and analog resources (ADC, OpAmp, comparators, CAPSENSE™). The EZ-PD PMG1 family provides a cohesive firmware view with an SDK in ModusToolbox™, a user-friendly software suite facilitating the swift development of Infineon MCUs. The EZ-PD PMG1-S3 offers an integrated solution for PC docks, IoT, and industrial uses like energy storage and e-bikes, benefiting from 140W charging via the USB Type-C connector.
