Safety Light Curtains

TE Connectivity's (TE) Safety Light Curtains provide finger, hand and body protection in industrial applications. These light curtains use a combination of an emitter and a receiver, along with multiple parallel beams emitted with various resolutions. If no objects or people are blocking the beam, the machine can operate. But if any part of a light beam is blocked, the machine is stopped. This design also eliminates the risk of machine tampering. These sensors feature IP67 and IP65 ratings for high protection against dirt, dust, sand, water, projections and other liquids. The curtains come in a compact size with a 28mm x 30mm minimal cross-section, while a powder-coated aluminum casing offers robustness. TE Safety Light Curtains are designed to be safe and smart with no blind areas, no programming required and fast, simple installation with plug-and-play connections. The components can also be repurposed as application needs change.
