Major Appliance Solutions

Littelfuse offers a broad portfolio of products designed for major appliances, such as cold storage, coffee machines, blenders, and air purifiers. These products include fuses, TVS diodes, load switches, MOVs, TVS diode arrays, reed sensors, reed switches, and TMR sensors. Additional applications for the Littelfuse major appliance solutions are residential AC units, vending machines, washing machines, commercial ice makers, microwave ovens, and rice cookers.

Line Voltage Rated PolySwitch Resettable PTCs

Littelfuse PolySwitch LVR and LVB Line Voltage Rated Devices help protect electric motors and transformers used in commercial and home appliances from damage caused by mechanical overloads, overheating, stall, lost neutral, and other potentially harmful conditions. The LVR and LVB devices of polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) devices include components that are rated for line voltages of 120VAC and 240VAC, for up to 2A of operating current at +20°C. They help protect against damage caused by both overcurrent surges and overtemperature faults. They also offer low resistance and are compatibly sized with fuse solutions.

Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection

Littelfuse Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection ensures a long operating life, increased energy efficiency, and safety. LEDs can be damaged by voltage or current surges, and by extreme temperatures. Littelfuse circuit protection technology protects LED assemblies from potential damage. Important circuit protection technologies include metal-oxide varistors (MOVs), transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes, and fuses.

Medical Equipment Solutions

Littelfuse Medical Equipment Solutions provide robust designed and quality components needed to help with reliable operating and equipment up-time. These solutions include ventilators, defibrillator, and ultrasounds. Littelfuse Medical Equipment Solutions are ideal for life support systems, patient care equipment, and patient monitoring systems.

LVR Line-Voltage-Rated Resettable Fuses

Littelfuse LVR Line-Voltage-Rated Resettable Fuses help protect electric motors and transformers used in commercial and home appliances from damage caused by mechanical overloads, overheating, stall, lost neutral and other potentially harmful conditions. The LVR product line of polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) devices includes components that are rated for line voltages of 120VAC and 240VAC, for up to 2A of operating current at +20°C. They help protect against damage caused by both overcurrent surges and over temperature faults, offer low resistance, and are compatible with fuse solutions. Unlike traditional fuses, these do not require replacement after a fault event. After power has been removed and the overcurrent condition eliminated, the circuit is restored to normal operating condition. Compared to bimetal breakers, they offer greater flexibility, longer lifespan, and lower electromagnetic interference (EMI). LVR devices resettable functionality and latching attributes make them a reliable, cost-effective circuit protection solution for both intermittent and continuous operation motor applications.

PolySwitch Resettable Devices

Littelfuse PolySwitch and POLY-FUSE Devices are Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) devices that offer a resettable overcurrent protection alternative, reducing warranty, service, and repair costs. PTCs increase resistance as temperature increases due to increased flow. The components are designed to limit unsafe currents while allowing constant safe current levels, resistance will "reset" automatically when the fault is removed, and temperature returns to safe levels. The ability of the PTCs to reset themselves after exposure to a fault current makes them ideal within circuits that are not easily accessible. PTCs are typically used as circuit protection in applications where sensitive components are at constant risk of damage from overcurrent conditions. The components are also ideal for situations where frequent overcurrent conditions occur or constant uptime is required. Littelfuse Resettable PTCs (PPTCs) are typically used in consumer electronics, power line, telecom, I/O port, process control and medical equipment protection applications.
