Gas Discharge Tube for RS-485 Ports

Bourns Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) for RS-485 Ports is designed to meet industry standards on RS-485 port interfaces and to provide circuit protection in noisy and harsh electrical environments. For exposed lines that may see large and fast surges and where failure is not acceptable, a three-stage Bourns protection system is recommended.

TVS Diodes

Bourns Surface-Mount TVS Diodes are low capacitance devices that provide ESD, EFT, and surge protection for external ports of electronic devices such as cell phones, handheld electronics, and other portable electronic devices. Bourns TVS Diodes include smaller chip diodes that have the capability to provide a silicon diode with minimal packaging overhead. The chip diodes 0603, 1005, 1408, and 2010 are leadless, allowing for maximum space on PCB layouts. All Bourns diodes are RoHS compliant and meet many worldwide industry and government regulations on lead-free components. TVS package diode design kits are also available from Bourns.

Circuit Protection Devices

CD0201 Surface-Mount TVS Diode

Bourns CD0201 Surface-Mount TVS Diode provides signal and power line ESD protection for electronic devices. The ultra-small 0201 SMD packaged diode is bidirectional with fast turn-on and low clamping voltage. Bourns CD0201 Surface-Mount TVS Diode is compliant with IEC 61000-4-2 Contact Discharge ±20kV ESD rating. This TVS diode is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics from damage or latch-up due to ESD.
