OLED Displays with 4- & 8-bit Controllers

DISPLAY VISIONS OLED Displays with 4- and 8-bit Controllers are suitable for industrial applications, thanks to an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +80ºC. These displays maintain full contrast and an extremely fast response time of 10µs, even down to -40ºC. They also require no contrast adjustment and have no limitation in viewing angle at temperature extremes. Thanks to the patented OLED technology, the displays reach a lifetime of 14k hours, even at the maximum operating temperature of +80ºC (half brightness)--and the probable lifetime at room temperature is over 100,000 hours. These OLED displays provide all-important character sets as standard, including English, Japanese, European (8-bit interface only), and Cyrillic. With the well-known 4-bit and 8-bit parallel interface, the new OLED displays are similar to the HD44780 standard. The OLED technology provides a contrast ratio of a minimum of 2000:1, due to its real black background and active technology. Character display counts range from 2x8 to 4x20 and single-supply operation is available at 5V and 3.3V without modification.
