Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP4582 Synchronous Step-Down DC/DC Converters provide efficient power conversion across a wide 4.5V to 100V input voltage range. The devices deliver up to 2A of output current and feature an ultra-low 8μA quiescent current for improved light-load efficiency. Integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs simplify design while reducing the need for external components.

The MPS MP4582 uses Power-Save Mode (PSM) to maximize efficiency and offers a Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM) to reduce output ripple. A fixed 400kHz switching frequency, internal compensation, Soft Start (SS) functionality, and Power Good (PG) indication support stable operation. Protection features include over-current, short-circuit, over-voltage, and over-temperature, making the converters ideal for power tools, solar inverters, portable power stations, battery management systems, and telecom power equipment.
