Texas Instruments LM25139-Q1 Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments LM25139-Q1 Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to handle up to 20A of output current, provided it maintains proper thermal mitigation. This EVM evaluates the LM25139-Q1 DC/DC controller, a 42V synchronous device with ultra-low IQ for single-output, high-current regulator circuits. The LM25139-Q1 module operates over a wide input voltage range of 5.5V to 36V, providing a regulated 5V output. This wide VIN range DC/DC design offers an outsized voltage rating and operating margin to withstand supply-rail voltage transients. The LM25139-Q1 module is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications. Typical applications include automotive electronic systems, infotainment systems, instrument clusters, ADAS, and body electronics.

Features

  • 5.5V to 36V wide input voltage operating range
  • 1% accurate fixed 3.3V, 5V, or adjustable output down to 0.8V
  • Switching frequency of 440kHz, externally synchronizable up or down by 20%
  • Full-load efficiency of 94% at VIN = 12V
  • 12.8µA controller standby current at VIN = 12V
  • Peak current-mode control architecture provides fast line and load transient response:
