Molex Mega-Fit Power Connectors
Molex Mega-Fit Power Connectors deliver up to 23A per circuit set on a 5.7mm pitch. This innovative design allows design engineers more power density than existing mid-range power connectors. Mega-Fit connectors are designed for wire-to-board configurations and can be used in virtually any industry or application. The system provides fully isolated terminals, positive lock housings, and polarized receptacles and housings. This split-box terminal design provides six independent points of contact to offer long-term reliability. Molex Mega-Fit products are UL recognized and CSA approved. All components are lead-free and RoHS compliant.
Features
- Power-dense design with high-current terminals, tight pitch, and row spacing
- Provides more power per linear and square millimeter than most mid-range power products
- Fully isolated header pins and receptacle terminals
- Sacrificial contact allows systems to be hot-plugged at 48V/23A up to 30 cycles
- Crush pegs, which provide extra stability on the PCB, are removed on Mega-Fit Slim Headers for a smaller footprint
- Backshells are available in UL 94V-0 and Glow Wire capable materials
- Terminal interface has six independent points of contact
- Positive locking housing ensures secure retention and delivers an audible click when the connector is fully mated
- Extended barrel conductor crimp provides strong terminal-to-wire retention
- Hermaphroditic 2-piece backshell reduces bill-of-material (BOM)
