Analog Devices Inc. DS2488 Evaluation Kit (DS2488EVKIT)

The Analog Devices DS2488 Evaluation Kit consists of a DS2488EV Board, which includes two DS2488 devices, and a DS9401EV 1-Wire Master Board with 5V charging. When connected to a PC via USB and the DS2488EVKIT software, The DS2488EV and DS9401EV Boards provide a usage example of True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds and the microcontroller-operated case that holds and charges the earbuds.

Using the software with the DS2488 Evaluation Kit, the following usage flows can be demonstrated:

• Detect Earbuds: does a 1-wire search for ROM ID to determine which earbuds are connected to the charge box
• IOA Low/Dead Battery: set IOA to logic-low to simulate a dead battery or to pass a token to IOB
• Send Message: uses the UART to send a message between the charge box and the earbuds
• Write PIOA Level: uses 1-wire commands to set the PIOA level
• Set PIOB Level: uses 1-wire commands to set the PIOB level
• Read PIO Levels: uses 1-wire commands to read the levels of the PIO pin
• Write Buffer: writes specified hex data to an 8-byte buffer
• Read Buffer:  reads written data in an 8-byte buffer

Software

The DS2488EVKIT software provides an easy-to-use Graphics User Interface (GUI) to accelerate configuration and evaluation of the DS2488 1-Wire Dual-Port Link. This Microsoft Windows-based application communicates to the Evaluation Kit via USB.
