Infineon Technologies EiceDRIVER™ 1EDI3040AS Evaluation Boards are high‑voltage gate‑driver evaluation platforms designed to demonstrate and validate the performance of the EiceDRIVER 1EDI3040AS single‑channel isolated gate driver for IGBT and SiC MOSFET applications. These boards enable engineers to explore device functionality, protection features, and digital configurability in a realistic power‑electronics test environment. Each evaluation board integrates the same core gate‑driver architecture while providing different mechanical and electrical interfaces to accommodate various power module form factors, including discrete devices, ID‑PAK, and HybridPACK™ HD modules. This allows designers to evaluate identical driver behavior across multiple power stages and packaging technologies without changing the underlying control concept.

The boards support galvanic isolation between primary and secondary sides, enabling safe operation in high‑voltage systems such as automotive traction inverters, high‑power industrial drives, and DC/DC converters. The boards expose critical signals, measurement points, and configuration options needed for laboratory testing and validation under real switching conditions.

To simplify evaluation, all these boards support SPI‑based configuration and diagnostics and can be used with an Infineon AURIX™ TC375 Shield Buddy board and graphical user interface (GUI). The boards allow users to configure operating parameters, monitor internal measurements, and observe diagnostic and protection behavior without extensive external circuitry.
