NXP Semiconductors Ara240 16GB M.2 Module Development Board

NXP Semiconductors Ara240 16GB M.2 Module Development Board is an AI accelerator module based on the Ara240 discrete NPU. It can provide up to 40 eTOPs with flexible precision. It uses the M.2 M-Key and supports up to four PCI Express 4.0 lanes in x4 configuration. Designed with the commonly used NGFF 2280 form factor, it can be easily used as a companion processing unit with the FRDM i.MX 8M Plus and FRDM i.MX 95 development boards with M.2 M-Key PCI Express capability.

Designed to handle the compute demands of large language models (LLMs), Vision Language Models (VLMs), and transformer-based models, this compact module is ideal for enabling or upgrading edge AI applications. The NXP Semiconductors ARA2-M2-16G-GT runs multiple AI models simultaneously without performance penalties.
