Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MagAlpha MAQ800 8-Bit Angle Encoders are automotive-grade, easy-to-use magnetic angle encoders with a digital output. These encoders are designed to replace analogic potentiometers or rotary switches. The MAQ800 8-bit encoders are for slow operation in Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and manual controls with a rotating speed below 200rpm. These encoders feature configurable magnetic field strength thresholds, which allow for the implementation of a push or pull button function.The MAQ800 8-bit encoders implement Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI). These encoders are AEC-Q100-qualified and are available in QFN-16 (3mm x3 mm) package. Typical applications include rotary knob control interfaces, manual controls, encoders, automotive, and white goods.
