NXP Semiconductors SC18IM704 UART to I2C-Bus Bridge

NXP Semiconductors SC18IM704 UART to I2C-Bus Bridge is designed to serve as an interface between the standard UART port of a microcontroller or microprocessor and the serial I2C-bus. The UART to I2C-Bus Bridge allows the MCU or MPU to communicate directly with other I2C-bus devices. The SC18IM704 can also operate as an I2C-bus controller. The device can control all the I2C-bus specific sequences, protocol, arbitration, and timing. The host communicates with the SC18IM704 with ASCII message protocol making the control sequences very simple.

The NXP Semiconductors SC18IM704 UART to I2C-Bus Bridge is offered in a compact TSSOP16 package with a -40°C to +105°C operating temperature range.
