STMicroelectronics EVLGANSPIN2-3PH Motor Control Reference Design
STMicroelectronics EVLGANSPIN2-3PH Motor Control Reference Design is a three-phase inverter based on the GANSPIN612 half-bridge GaN system-in-package (integrating 270mΩ 650V e-mode HEMT GaN and the gate driver with LDOs, bootstrap diode, overcurrent protection) and the STM32G431RB with Arm® Cortex®-M4 MCU at 170MHz with 128Kbytes of Flash memory, and a Math Accelerator.
The board can be used for sensorless field-oriented control (FOC), enabling the drive of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) and brushless DC (BLDC) motors across a wide range of applications, such as refrigerator compressors, pumps, fans, and industrial appliances.
The STMicroelectronics EVLGANSPIN2-3PH is a 77mm x 88mm wide, 4-layer, 2oz FR-4 PCB, resulting in an overall Rth(J‑A) of 12°C/W in still air (approximately 32°C/W for a single half-bridge when operating alone).
